I built a wholesale food company out of a rented kitchen and sold it in 2026.
It grew from one kitchen into a regional business with accounts across the area. I did the sales and the relationships in person, and I built every piece of software the company ran on: the customer ordering portal, the admin dashboard, the QuickBooks integration, automated invoicing, delivery and kitchen planning, and the email that went out to every account.
None of it was a side project. Orders came in through it every morning, and invoices went out through it every night. When something broke, I was the one who fixed it before the trucks left.
I also shipped an iOS app along the way. Now I build the same kind of systems for other small businesses, and I still do the first conversation in person.
